EMPLOYEES APPOINTED HIGHER SALARY RANGES

When a managerial employee is appointed
to a permanent position with a higher salary range than his or her current
position, the employee’s immediate supervisor will determine any salary
increase.Personnel must approve all
such salary adjustments.
Pay adjustments may not result in a
salary that exceeds the maximum of the salary range.
EMPLOYEES IN A TITLE RE-ALLOCATED TO A NEW SALARY RANGE
A managerial employee shall receive a
salary adjustment as determined by his/her immediate supervisor.Personnel must approve all such salary
A managerial employee demoted to a
position with a lower salary range shall not receive a salary greater than the
maximum of the new range.
Demoted managerial employees in a new
position for less than six months will not be eligible for an annual
performance-based salary increase.
Determination of salaries for demoted
employees shall be in compliance with tenure rights.
A demoted managerial employee who has a
salary greater than the maximum of the range of the demoted position, shall not
receive any further salary increases until the maximum of the salary range
exceeds the salary at the time of demotion.If the employee is contractually guaranteed salary increases, such
increases will be permitted.The
employee’s salary will then be red-circled until the maximum of the salary
range is greater than the employee’s current salary.
